2025 NIOA Training Schedule:

July Training. Date: July 9th, Nyona South Mud Lake WWTP, Macy, IN. Joint meeting with the CIOA. Wastewater Plant tour (meeting at 2999 North Knoll Drive) - Sign-in starts @ 10:00 am; Training starts @ 10:30 am. Lunch and presentation starting around 11:30 am. RSVP for lunch by the end of the day Monday July 7.

CEU’s are included with your membership.  CEU Membership is $25/year. Non CEU membership is still only $10/year. Non-member CEU rate is $5/CEU.  The NIOA not only offers wastewater CEU’s but drinking water ones as well.  At each meeting we intend to offer 2 technical CEU’s. Membership dues need to be paid before receiving any CEU's.  Please fill out a membership form and return it and start experiencing the benefits today! Wastewater Exam Prep Course at the IWEA Annual Conference:  August 20-21. Don’t miss this two-day session that will leave you well-prepared to ace the Indiana Department of Environmental Wastewater Operator exam. Previously taught by Barb Smith, IWEA is thrilled to partner with Wastewater 101 to bring this crash course to registrants at the 2025 IWEA Annual Conference.

Topics to be covered include: Advanced Treatment, Activated Sludge, Clarifiers, Disinfection, Laboratory, Maintenance, Preliminary Treatment, Safety, Solids Handling, completing the MRO using the DMR, Math and the Operator’s Certification Manual. This course is a valuable tool for anyone in the wastewater field or anyone considering the wastewater field.

Those attending the exam prep course will have access to the annual conference exhibit hall, networking receptions and Friday technical presentations in addition to the exam prep session.

Wastewater Collection Exam Alliance Review Course. Sept. 23 – Oct. 2. The Alliance of Indiana Rural Water is offering IWEA Members a discount code for their upcoming Wastewater Collection Exam Review Course. This course takes place over several days in September and October just before the fall IWEA exam dates.

Collection Systems & Lab Analyst Certification Exams. Oct. 7 (Portage), Oct. 21 (Indy). IWEA offers 2 different certification exams for wastewater professionals, Collection Systems Operator and Laboratory Analyst, at 4 different class levels. These standardized exams are provided through ABC testing, a WPI service. Twice a year, IWEA offers the opportunity for wastewater professionals to sit for these proctored exams. Join us at the IWEA Office in Indianapolis on October 21st for our next test date.
