Announcing the 1st Annual NIOA Clay Shoot!

We are excited to announce our first annual clay shoot on June 11 at the Hillside Shooting Club in Roanoke (7870 N. Mayne Rd, 46783)! Thanks to incredibly generous sponsors, this event is free to all current members of the NIOA and their guests! We will start the day at 10A with a 1-hour business/educational meeting followed by lunch and clay shooting. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 shooters.

2025 NIOA Training Schedule:

May – No NIOA Training, participate in the IWEA Wastewater Challenge in Marion Indiana!

CEU’s are included with your membership.  CEU Membership is $25/year. Non CEU membership is still only $10/year. Non-member CEU rate is $5/CEU.  The NIOA not only offers wastewater CEU’s but drinking water ones as well.  At each meeting we intend to offer 2 technical CEU’s. Membership dues need to be paid before receiving any CEU's.  Please fill out a membership form and return it and start experiencing the benefits today! If you have not renewed your NIOA Membership, the registration form can be found here. If your employer needs an itemized invoice to pay for the 2025 dues, please contact John Magsam.

Other Training Opportunities:

Collection Systems & Laboratory Analyst Certification Exam: April 29. IWEA offers 2 different certification exams for wastewater professionals, Collection Systems Operator and Laboratory Analyst, at 4 different class levels. These standardized exams are provided through ABC testing, a WPI service. Twice a year, IWEA offers the opportunity for wastewater professionals to sit for these proctored exams. Join us at the IWEA Office in Indianapolis on April 29th for our next test date.

Wastewater Challenge. The Wastewater Challenge is a day of hands-on events designed to test and stretch your how-to knowledge of wastewater. It takes a team to rise to the challenges created by the Laboratory, Operations & Maintenance, Residuals & Resource Recovery, Collection Systems, Pretreatment, and Safety committees. Competitive Teams rely on their wits, experience, and diverse members for the high score that will take them to WEFTEC to represent Indiana. May 19 & 20, at the Marion Wastewater Treatment Plant.
