NetDMR - Notice of Possible Training Opportunity

IDEM has been contacting a number of WWTP's to continue encouraging the implementation & use of NetDMR for monthly reporting. Regardless of your feelings about this, your community will be required to use NetDMR by the end of next year. Some IDEM folks are pushing to have communities submitting NetDMR reports by the end of this year - this is a request, not a requirement, FYI. The deadline for transitioning to NetDMR is the end of 2016.

Great Lakes CSO Prohibition Language in FY2016 Funding Bill

Good morning, NIOA members! At yesterday's training, one of the things that we discussed was language in Section 428 pf the Senate Appropriations Committee FY 2016 spending bill. If passed, Section 428 will prohibit all CSO's within the Great Lakes Watershed. After 2035, POTW's will be fined $100,000 for any CSO's, regardless of the intensity and/or duration of the storm event. The financial costs are tough to estimate at this point, but would be extremely high.

April NIOA Training Cancelled

Good afternoon everyone! We regret to announce that we are cancelling the April NIOA training in Warsaw.

We have had a couple members ask about the status of CEU's - we are still actively working with IDEM to get previous training CEU's approved and applied to everyone who attended. This is a high priority issue for us & we are working to get this resolved as soon as possible,

Pump Operation & Maintenance Training - March 11

A quick reminder of Pump Operation & Maintenance Training on Wednesday, March 11, starting @ 10:30 am. We are applying for 3 technical CEU's for both Water & Wastewater licenses. Water Superintendent Tom Selman will give us a tour of one of Angola's drinking water treatment plant. After lunch, Ray Warren, Service Manager for Homa Pump Technologies, will discuss operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of submersible pumps.

Information

Good Mornining everyone!  Hope everyone is staying warm during this cold spell.

This is just a note to let everone know that the March and April meetings are listed on the event calander.  There is no meeting in May and we may be in Kendallville for June.  The golf outing in July is still in the search phase for a location.

Enjoy your day.

Joe
